New Haven Colony/Quinnepiac was settled in 1638, and continued as a legal jurisdiction until the end of 1664. It contained the towns of New Haven, Milford, Guilford, Branford, and Stamford, in what is now Connecticut and Southold, Long Island, which is now part of New York.
