Amy "Chippy" Moffat née Ward (1903 in Lismore, New South Wales, Australia–19 Sep 1987 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia) is the daughter of Mary Louise Streeter née Ward (1880-1959) and an unknown biological father; no father was noted on Amy's birth certificate and she was given her mother's maiden name. Her mother later married Albert Edward Streeter (1880-1976) on 26 Dec 1908.

Amy married James Radford Moffat (1890-1974) on 22 Nov 1922 in Queensland, Australia.

The question is, who could Amy's biological father be? Is there any information out there that indicates where to start looking? According to family lore, there is a chance Amy's biological father is First Nation Australian.

I don't know, but, I am curious myself.  My mom's family had some Wards, and we are said to have Indian blood (American Indian).  Could be a totally unrelated Ward, but, I hope you get your answer!

Thanks Adam!

The Wards go back pretty far, so could be related! The Ward line I'm looking into is the one that immigrated to Australia. Feel free to look at my family tree on Ancestry (the link is on my profile) if you'd like to check for any relation :D.
