G2G: Is there a quick way to find a past G2G discussion if you remember the gist but not the title?

Question

I put this question in Policy and Style because if I recall correctly, the discussion (that I am specificially looking for), was a policy topic, in regards to "When Connecticut became a State of the United States". I was the State of Connecticut, prior to that under it's Charter, after being Connecticut Colony. I promised when I got an answer back I would let those in the discussion know what the response to my email query was, but I can't find it to post it.

There's a search box.  But it favours tags, and returns results in random order.

If you think a tag will find the thread, you're better off just clicking on the tag.  Then you get results in date order.

If you can remember a specific phrase, try Googling it.

If you can remember who posted the question or who answered, go to their G2G profile and look at All Questions and All Answers.

Doesn't work for comments, but Recent Activity on their profile will find their recent comments.

Hi T,

Yes at the top of the page you will see a form to fill in and than you can click search g2g.

Also if you know what possibly some of the tags that where placed on the question you can click the tag under the question and that will show you every question that has been asked under that tag.

I'd love to have an Activity Feed for G2G, in addition to the feed based on followed tags. Not unlike the the "Activity Log" on FaceBook. Quickest way to get back to what I've done previously/recently. Sometimes I make a post that does not include a tag I'm following; they can sometimes be challenging to retrieve. (Re-retrieve? What is "trieve" anyhow?)

I agree with you, then there's the situation I was in yesterday, I was responding to a discussion, so I didn't put any tags in, as they were already in place, I had tried guessing at a tag but then I got a 100 conversations that happened since, that I didn't participate in. A way to just check for what we are involved in would be really helpful. But until then, I will just be using bookmarks (which means creating folder number 50, 2nd WikiTree folder of stuff I need to find again.)
