G2G: My great-great grandmother was Emma Loretta Broyles. Does anyone else have information regarding her genealogy?

There was another Emma L Broyles who married a Henry West in Clinton, Missouri in 1894. Her father's name was Benjamin Broyles. Which one of the two Emma L Broyles would be your ancestor?

Mine is the one that married Henry West.  I am trying to find out if she is a descendent of Ziriakis Broyles.

Emma's line does show a connection to Cyrus (Ziriakus) Broyles but there are some uncertainties. See Broyles-1558.

Emma Loretta Broyles died 22 Oct 1901 at Elwood, Madison, Indiana. She is buried at Elwood Cemetery.

Her tombstone reads Emma Loretta, Daughter of G. W. and S. Broyles, Died Oct 22, 1901. Aged 24 years, 2 months, and 22 days.

Emma L Broyles, 1900 United States Census, was born July 1877. Her father is George W. Broyles and her mother is Savanna Broyles. The 1900 residence is at Pipe Creek Twp., (west part excl. Elwood city), Madison, Indiana.

George W Broyles is Head of the household age 53, Savanna Broyles his wife is 44, Emma L daughter is 23 and Vernon Broyles son is 4. All in the household were born in Indiana.

Frank, I see that your last name is Gill.  Emma Loretta Broyles was on my grandfather's side, but my great grandmother, Fannie Malone Gill, was on my grandmother's side.  Are you also related to them both?  I cannot find information regarding William Gill, Fannie's father, so I wondered if you had information regarding him?

Benjamin's father is John Broyles age 43, born Indiana. Elisabeth Broyles age 39 born Missouri. Mary C Broyles is 13, Reuben E Broyles 10, John W Broyles is 8, Benjamin F Broyles is 3 and Millie A Broyles is 0.

All in the household were born in Missouri except John Broyles who was born in Indiana.

They show the marriage to Henry B West at 27 Oct 1894 at Clinton, Missouri. Benjamin Broyles and Martha Broyles are her parents. Henry West's mother is shown as Catherine West.
