Biography
There were 2 Griet Cornelis Sluijs' on the Aartswoud Reformed Church membership list. It's possible they were the same person since one had the death date of 1691 behind it and the other had nothing. However, considering the circumstances it's probably more likely that the one who died was Grietje's mother. Guurtje Cornelis Sluijs moved to Wervershoof on May 3 1715. Curiously the transfer of membership wasn't recognized in Wervershoof until Sept 1 1715. She moved to Zwaagdijk, presumably to her brother Cornelis' home to help him after his wife died. It seems Grietje never married.
