I have just bought the book "My Father's People" by Brian C Luxton, which turns out to have no relevance to me whatsoever! Here's a description.

It's very dense and well researched and mostly (completely?) about the descendants of Robert Luxton 1664-1751 of Frogpit Moor, Petton, Bampton, Devon.

If anybody, now or at some distant point in the future, wants me to look for a name in here I'm more than happy to.

Does your book mention any Luxton family living in Ottery St Mary in Eastern Devon?

Sorry, but I can't see any connection to Ottery Saint Mary.

The chapter titles mostly give a place name as well as a person's name and I've just finished browsing through the trees and did not notice that locality there either.
