G2G: Advice before adding of this pre-1700 Ostrander profile?

Question

I can add a to the profile of Pieter (Ostrander) Van Oostrander. This is who I can add:

• I am going from Catherina Van Ostrander Philip, Van_Ostrander-3 to her father Willem Van Oostrand, Van_Oostrander-2 to his father Pieter Van Oostrander/Ostrander, Ostrander-2812.  I find it difficult to believe that I am not finding such a well research family on WikiTree.  I am afraid that I am just misunderstanding the Dutch names and missing something important.  I guess I need advice from the Netherlands Project.

• The Verified Account of the first Two Generations of the Ostrander Family, prepared by Kent DeGeer for the Ostrander Famly Association Research Committee

Should I contact one of the pre-1700 projects or know about any style guidelines before proceeding? Thank you!

This has been resolved. As it happens, the new profile was a duplicate, and it is now proposed for merging.
