Regarding Charles Schluter

Charles is my 2xgreat grandfather.  I would like to manage his profile and add information to him.  I have struggled with adding information to another branch of my tree and would like to try again with Charles.  He came from Prussia in the 1850's with his wife and children.  I have a lot of information on the family both in the US and Germany.  Is there someone who will help me understand the right way to do this and has the time to answer email with questions so I can really contribute.

It's been a long time since your previous edits, CL. Have you reviewed the current Help materials for new members? The material at https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:How_to_Edit_a_Profile may help you (and help you focus your questions when working with another member).

I'm not a pro, and I am not online all the time so there may be some delay in answering.  But, you asked for email help & if the file materials Ellen Smith mentioned still leave you with questions, try writing me.

I did look at the last work you did, for Catherine Finney Finney-2429 and did a little editing. which you can look at and get ideas.  For example, putting 4 ~ in front of each Research Note will sign & date it so others can know how old it is & who to contact.

I've mostly learned by clicking the Edit button on a nice profile & looking to see what format/codes others have used (and then exiting without making changes). I also keep a cheat sheet on my computer to help me find things again.  For example, when I added the cemetery, it wasn't popping up when I tried typing it in Categorization.  So I went to my saved link to look up the state/county & see how it was labelled.
