Could someone please remove the PPP on Gerard-1? I think it was added to stop the merge, but hopefully it can proceed now, and I'll need it removed so I can fix her kids/parents.

If you can fast track the merge that would be great, thanks!

Kirk the profile was not locked to prevent the merge you proposed. I locked the profile in 2015 per guidelines not in order to prevent the merge.  You proposed the merge today and you need to allow profile managers to approve the merge. I approved it when I received the proposal.

I haven't received any message about fixing the kids/parents.

I added her to the British Isles 1500-Present proj, yesterday, before that she was PPP'd w/o a project.

This is in regard to the question from 18 May 2016 re: Gerard-752 and Gerard-1

"Need to verify with more information first. Birth dates a generation off. One profile she has a son named James. On the other she is married to James."

The links were right but the dates, were off, which I corrected. I had assumed incorrectly Hamilton-1 had been abandoned. I did cite the dates, here's the DNB info for Elizabeth Gerard:

Elizabeth Gerard (c.1682–1744) was the only child and heir of the late Digby Gerard, 5th Baron Gerard. She m. James Hamilton as his 2nd wife 17 July 1698 at Bushy Park, Richmond (contract 16 July). James and Elizabeth had 7 children, incl. Lady Susanna Keck. see Hamilton, James, fourth duke of Hamilton DNB 2004

Usually I only update the profile that will be the eventual sole profile to avoid confusion during merges. Once the merge is approved all the children will be correct. Thanks!

Kirk your original question didn't mention:

"This is in regard to the question from 18 May 2016 re: Gerard-752 and Gerard-1 Need to verify with more information first. Birth dates a generation off. One profile she has a son named James. On the other she is married to James."

It sounded like the ppp was placed to prevent your merge proposal.

Removing the ppp doesn't fast track your merge proposal. The ppp only prevents the LNAB from being merged away.

Merging guidelines: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Matching_and_Merging_FAQ#What_can_you_do_if_you.27re_waiting_for_approval_from_someone_else.3F

Collaborating with profile managers before making changes helps prevent any conflict. Especially when changing dates & relationships.

I appreciate the info you added and your contributions.

Thank you!
