G2G: tracing family in India

Question

I am trying to trace relatives and create a fanily tree.

I was born in Coimbatore India on 21st October 1952

my name at birth was:

Paul Stephen Gerard Mc Farland Peirce

I had a twin brother Neal Bernard Peirce and an elder sister Antoinette born in Nay 1950

My father was Anthony Gerard Peirce

At the time he was a pilot in the airforce

His family were tea planters

itis possible that since my father was from a tea planter family in south India/Ceylon  that there is a connection with  www.peirceandleslie.com

my mother was  

KathleenHailstone educated in Ooty

her mother and father lived in the castlet, Keti

Their  names were Hugh Hailstone.a businessman  and chikar ad his wife Katie who owned Moden Gunsmiths

I left India at the age of 10 months with my mother, brother, and sister. my father was supposed o follow. He did not.

My mother remarried and I was adopted at the age of 6

i would be grateful for any help you can give me

did not list any planters with the surname of Peirce, so lets rule out Sri Lanka as it is know known

1. As you were born in Coimbatore, request the Coimbatore corporation office for your birth record. All the records before the passing of the "Births and Deaths Act of 1969" are kept in the Coimbatore corporation office.

2. As your mother is from Ooty, see if you have any records available in http://gccapp.chennaicorporation.gov.in/birth_death_tn/ by making a search in the "Nilgiris" district. Reach out to the Commissioner of Ooty to narrow down further and obtain records that are not available online.

Hello my name is John Anthony Hailstone Scott, born in Bangalore India in 1950.  Father Hugh Charles Hailstone, Mother Rosamunde Margaret (maiden name Lincoln). I have a feeling there is family connection (if somewhat complicated).  My father died in Bexleyheath Kent in 1957 and my mother then married my late step father Robert John Scott.  My late mother worked in Modern Gunsmiths with Hugh Hailstone.  They built a ranch in Mysore.

It would be nice to see if there is a connection.
