I am searching for reatives of John Kennedy, Born 1929 in Glasgow, Scotland. Son of John Kennedy and J.C. (Jessie Catherine?) Kennedy. Brother of Daniel (Niel) Kennedy. Father of 4 (including my father) with Laura (Aubin) Kennedy.
From my father's recollections:
His childhood was in Scotland. His father owned a Taxi Service. His mother moved to Jersey, Channel Islands where she owned a Inn (The inn was briefly occupied by the Germans during the war). I am unsure of the where abouts of his father and brother onwards. His brother had a daughter named Alison. The two addresses that my grandmother gave my father state that his mother and Alison lived in Jersey, Channel Islands.
He joined the RAF in 1945 , the documents I have state that he was an Aero Fireman. My father also states that before he came to Montreal, he had a daughter with a previous lover. Her where abouts are unknown. The lover was German.
In Montreal he married my grandmother, had 4 children and worked for Bombardier until his passing.

My father believes the DOB on his RAF record is wrong and that he lied to join the RAF. My father remembers him saying that it is off by 2 years or 2 months and that he was born on the 29th. That would make his DOB either April 27th or 29th 1929, February 27th or 29th 1931. Off by 2 months he would have been 17 and off by 2 years 15 when he joined the RAF.. It doesn't help that theres 100s of John Kennedy's born in Glasgow, Scotland. Thoughts anyone?

Hello Tori,  There is a site called Forces War Records. You could also check on the Scotlands People Site.I also used the Irish Genealogy Site as My Grandmother was born in Glasgow Scotland but her Great Grandfather was born in Ireland. Hope this is helpful.

Hi Tori,

I have a 3rd great grandfather named John Archibald Kennedy but he and his siblings were born in Limerick Ireland. Through DNA I am convinced that our Kennedy line originated in Scotland (also because Archibald is a primarily Scottish name) as I come back related to many Kennedy families, also from Scotland. Have you had your DNA done yet by any chance?

Hope you find what you're looking for, look forward to hearing from you.
