Wikitree shows the name of John Talcott's wife as "Ann" Welles, with parents.  She was John's first wife and certainly died before 1586.  John Talcott has been treated by S. V. Talcott in his 1876 Talcott Pedigree in England and America from 1558-1876, and by Jacobus in Hale, House and Related Families Mainly of the Connecticut River Valley, and both say that wife Welles' first name is not known, and neither names her parents. (Robert Charles Anderson, in the Great Migration Begins: Immigrants to N.E. 1620-1633, Vols. I-III, Page 1794ff, cites both those works.)

Son John Talcott married a woman named Ann (Skinner), and I think her first name was been attached as that of John's mother.

Is there any evidence for the first name of -- Welles or her parents?  If not, I would like to change here name to Unknown Welles and disconnect her parents.

Thanks, Vic.

I have been following various breadcrumbs. So far, nothing identifying her given name. --Gene

I have a note that Ursula Welles born in 1540 in Colchester, Essex, England married this John Talcott in 1560 in Colchester, Essex, England. I will try to find my source for this.
