The story appeared in the Belfast Republic (Maine) on 22 Sep 1892. Two front page columns occupied the paper describing the shock to the town and family. Miss Fannie B. Nichols, dau. of Adam Pendleton Nichols and Mary Ann Fenwick, was shot and killed by Samuel Moody, who also committed suicide.
