We are happy you came back to the Northwest Terriers for April's Connect-a-thon. Join us on the Discord channel or the G2G Team Chat page for any questions, comments, or just for fun chatting.
Remember, you must have at least one valid source for each profile you create. The source is the identification of where you obtained information. A family tree is not a source.
See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Sources for the methods used for sourcing if needed.
Scoring results can be found here.
Thanks for your help!!

Nikell, thanks for your contributions to the project.
Here is the link to the March/April Vicksburg National Cemetery Challenge, in case your interested: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1710470/civil-war-2024-march-april-vicksburg-natl-cemetery-challenge
I located a will package for Svenning Nicholson (the person you previously found in the 1855 Census of Vienna, Dane, WI). He died on 16 Feb 1860 Vienna, Dane, WI without a will so there is a legal probate file on ancestry for him. His wife's name is Judith Nicholson. The package also states that they had five children but all are older than 21 years old. Appears that Edwin Nicholson, his son, (but would have been too old for him to be our Edwin Nicholson), signed most of the probate paperwork evaluations on his behalf after he died.
There are many pages in this electronic package, some hard to read. You can likely find this will/probate package by searching under "Svenning Nicholson" and "Vienna, Dane, Wisconsin" about "1855-1865." When I did that search in ancestry, only two records came back, the 1855 census you previously found and this will package.
The link at the top of the first page of this package in ancestry.com is => https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/9088/images/007708988_00946?pId=457648
Even though this Edwin Nicholson does not appear to be our Edwin Harlow Nicholson son of Auston Harlow Nicholson, he could still be related to our Nicholson's' somehow? Maybe? Maybe not?

Thank you for all the Nicholson profile improvements you have made recently. I have been inactive the past few months but hope to get back into the swing of it going forward. I was impressed with all the improvements you have made to Alma Bertha (Cassidy) Nicholson profile. Was wondering if you could comment on your experience with the "Michigander" and "Cassidy Name Study" tags - was it beneficial to you? Thanks again, Jim Harkness
Tartan Trail checking in with you - please reply here if you haven’t received our messages. Sheena Tait - Scotland Project Membership Coordinator

Thanks for taking responsibility for Orphaned Profiles. This After Adopting Orphans FAQ explains the special attention adopted profiles will sometimes need from their profile managers. One quick way to find the profiles you adopted is by searching your Contributions List for the word "adopted" and "manager." You can find a quick link to your Contributions List in the My WikiTree dropdown menu.
If you will be working with any profiles needing GEDCOM cleanup, the AGC tool can help with formatting so that you can concentrate on the research. You can read more about it in the WikiTree AGC FAQ.
Let me know if you have any questions on how to find and record sources, merge duplicates, clean up GEDCOM biographies, and interpret the Suggestions report. I'm here to help!

Thanks for showing Scotland as one of your interests. If you haven’t yet done so, please join the Scotland project via the G-2-G topic. I hope you get a great deal of pleasure collaborating with colleagues in this great project. If you have any questions or wish any advice either send me a private message or email me.
Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
The Scotland Project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.
Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

PS. Please avoid the use of abbreviations as they can mean different things in different countries, always use the full words
I would suggest starting with New Member How-to pages which may save you a lot of time and frustration. Don't be afraid to ask questions in our G2G forum and get involved as much or as little as works for you. Be sure to check out the tabs at the very top right hand side of your profile, there is lots to discover!
I am here to answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Please add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person.
Enjoy the site!
