My name is Paul Chiddicks and I am a family history researcher and I live in Willaston, near Nantwich in Cheshire. I have recently been given some photographs of six men who sadly lost their lives diffusing a bomb, not far from where I live, during WW2.
In recent times, I have been carrying out more local history based projects and I would really like to research and look into what happened and trace the history of the soldiers that sadly died and if possible, try to trace the family members, if there are any, of those that sadly died.
Any help that you are willing to provide will be enormously helpful.
I should add at this point that this is purely for my own personal use, there is no commercial aspect to the project whatsoever. I have my own family history blog on which I share these stories and in more recent times I have been researching stories that have captured my imagination, that are not directly connected to my own family. I also researched the lives of 34 firefighters who lost their lives during the Blitz in WW2, which is still today, the largest ever loss of life for the Fire Brigade at a single incident and subsequently built my own website to tell and commemorate those that died.
The soldiers who died were; 4270436 Sapper Albert Edward Fearon, 2094019 Sapper Michael Lambert, 7895135 Sapper George Lucas and 2001843 Sapper Harold Walter Thompson, 1895467 Sapper John Perrins and 2210433 Sergeant Edward Joseph Greengrass.
Kind regards
Paul Chiddicks

The Profile Improvement Project (PIP) is performing a check-in with project members. Please review the following and let us know if you are content where we have placed you or would like to be more involved.
The Project operates in a team structure. There are currently three participant PIP Teams -- The Maintenance Category Team, the Unknowns Team, and the Biography Team. There is also the Voyage Team which guides new Voyagers. See the Profile Improvement Project Teams for a brief outline of each team.
You’re currently identified as a member of the Unknowns Team. Are you working on a particular group of unknowns? Are you happy with the Team you are on? If you are interested in working with a different Team, please let us know.
If you have not already done so, we invite you to join the email GoogleGroup and text chat Discord channel for our project. (You will need your Wiki ID for both). Neither is required; we also use the Profile_Improvement tag in G2G for Project announcements.
We thank you for all you do to help the Profile Improvement Project meet its goals. We would like to hear about the successes you’ve had and would also appreciate any feedback you have to help improve the Project. Please share your thoughts in a reply to this comment or via private message to one of us.
Sincerely, Debi Hoag and Kay Knight, Co-Leaders, Profile Improvement Project Robin Shaules, Project Coordinator, Profile Improvement Project

It is once again time for our annual Ireland Project check-in. Please respond within the next three weeks to let us know:
You can respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. If we don’t hear from you within the next three weeks we’ll assume your interests have changed or you no longer are able to participate in the Ireland Project at this time, and your badge will be removed. If your circumstances change later you will be welcome to reapply for membership.
Many thanks for all that so many of you have contributed to the project in the past year, and very special thanks to those who answered the project’s call and gave generously of their time to be part of Team Seanchaithe during the most recent connect-a-thon. We are looking forward to hearing from you.

Following a fall which required major surgery I was not able to use Wikitree for 3 months and then afterwards not be able to contribute much until I learnt new ways of using the laptop so I think that if someone doesn't do much the team should reach out to them and see if there is a problem
I do find it difficult to find some Irish sources so perhaps more guidance on this
