Hello all, I am a descendant of Stephen Hopkins (Mayflower Rock Star!) both children Constance and Giles, along with Francis and Hester Cooke, Richard and Elizabeth Warren, and William Brewster. Edward Winslow is a great uncle.

Yes, one (Richard Warren) whose descendants I know about and another possible (Chilton) whom I have not studied.  Probably more as I have many New England branches to my family tree.

I have one branch of my family that left Massachusetts for Rhode Island to get away from the Puritans.  Anyone interested in women's rights should take a close look at Massachusetts v. Rhode Island in the mid to late 17th Century in that respect.  I recall reading (no source just now) that c. 1690 Rhode Island was the only place on the face of the earth in which women had something close to the rights they have in 21st C. America.

I have many Quakers (Blackburns) and Puritans too!! Who were your Quakers?

My Quakers arrived in Pennsylvania with William Penn.  They are Heacocks, Sharples, Pyles, Lewis, Taylor & John.

My Puritan ancestors were Bradleys, who first arrived in the Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1635.  They settled in Haverhill, Massachusetts.

Yes, Five, Three signed Compact. John Chilton, his wife & Daughter, Mary, Francis Eaton & Francis Cooke. (& a wife of Cooke or Eaton, can't remember which)

Well we are closely related then. My GG Francis Cooke as well. There are so many great family one never knows where to start. On my Mothers side are Ellis,Swift,Washburn,Willmarth and Mitchell’s   Also have to research Tilly and Howland. It is an endless task!!

Yes, John Howland, Elizabet Tilley and both of her parents. Many Puritans and Quakers. I believe the third wife of one of my ancestors was the woman that "The Scarlet Letter" was based on. I am descended from the second wife. I also have a witch accuser in the family unfortunately along with many Quakers who were persecuted for their faith and one Reverend who was kicked out of Plymouth colony.

Yes, I have many links to Mayflower passengers.  I tried unsuccessfully to upload a Gedcom from Ancestry.  I will try again when I have time to figure out the problem.

Instead of using an Ancestry gedcom to add your ancestors to WikiTree, I recommend that you start by entering at least your parents and grandparents to WikiTree manually. This will give you a chance to become familiar with creating WikiTree profiles. Then you might want to manually add profiles for just one of your lines that leads to a Mayflower ancestor. You will probably discover that there are WikiTree profiles for many of your ancestors already here on WikiTree.

You left a comment on your profile that you're working to familiarize yourself with the differences between WikiTree and Ancestry. On WikiTree we don't each have our own tree--we all share the same tree, and we all work together on the profiles of our shared ancestors. That means that it's extremely important that there is only one profile for each person. When you're creating profiles for your ancestors, you'll want to look around WikiTree a bit first, to make sure that someone else hasn't already created a profile for that person. Also, because our tree is shared, it's critical that when you create a profile for someone, you include the source of your information for that person. That way, if there is a difference between your information and someone else's information, you can compare and decide together which information is more likely to be correct.

I knew that my family tree lacks in diversity, but according to Chase Ashley's ancestor explorer I have 388 Puritan Great Migration ancestors, and 22 Mayflower ancestors. 4 of the Mayflower are uncertain, and only 2 were on my great aunt's Mayflower society documentation. Are there others whose ancestors stuck around New England, or Toried up to New Brunswick so the breeding pool was constricted like mine?

I haven't an answer but a question. I already knew that four of the Mayflower passengers were born in my hometown of Dorking, Surrey, England. I easily found three of them (John, Joseph & Priscilla) on the "Category: Mayflower Passengers" list, as they all had the surname Mullins. Of these, the only one who survived the 1620/21 winter hardships was Priscilla Mullins, who later married John Alden. He was the Carpenter from the Mayflower, who had remained in Plymouth when the ship sailed. However, I found her mother was indexed under the Unknowns as Alice (Unknown) Mullins. It seems strange to list her separately from the other three, as all four were known as Mullins at the time of the voyage. I just wonder if WikiTree provides a better alternative to handle indexing of Unknown LNABs, since this must be a common situation in similar category lists?

Rebecca, go to your profile page.  On the upper right side of the page click find....then click relationships, on that page you will see Mayflower Passengers, click that, there you will see any connections you may have.  Hope this helps!
