Hi,

I live in St. Albans which borders Georgia... I can see Georgia out my window.

I also have done a lot of work on the genealogy of the early settlers of Franklin County in which both towns are included.

So... this interests me.  I'll see if I can dig anything up and let you know if I do.

Cheers!
I know that there are several of the Washburns that were suppose to be from that area that may be related to me. If you can find any of these and take a picture of the gravestones and data - I'd really appreciated it. I know this is an older message. But I will still try. These are my 4th great uncle/aunts Christina Washburn 1809 - death unknown Samuel Washburn Jr Samuel Washburn Jr 1812–1872 died in Conklingville, Saratoga County, New York, USA Delia Washburn-Andrews 1822–1887 in Corinth, Saratoga don't know if you can get her hubby's grave stone. But we have a pic of hers.

David Washburn (son of Ebenezer Washburn and Mary) was born 1774 in Fredericksburg, Dutchess Co. NY.
 Includes NotesNotes for David Washburn:
In the 1800 census David is shown as the head of the house and being between the age 16 and 26.He was born in 1774 and thus would be 26 years of age.His wife is shown as being between 16 and 26 years of age.
In the 1810 census, David has one boy under ten and 3 girls undr ten. David would be about 36 years of age.
In the 1820 Census David is shown as having 2 boys under 10, one between 16 and 25, one male between 26 and45.One girl under 10, 2 girls between 10 and 16, one girl between 16 and 26, and one female45 and up. David would probably 45 years of age. There is a column titled Foreigners not naturalized, it has a 2 on the line.Which conveys the idea that David and his wife are from Canada.
In 1830 census, David has 2 boys under 5, 2 boysbetween 5 and 10, one boy between 15 and 20.
David should be about 56,and he has one girl between 10 and 15 years. His wife is between 50 and 60.
I don't find David in the census in Delaware Countyafter 1830.

What've you googled the Washburn family tree. They maintain one of the best family genealogical databases. My Harwood family had the same migration pattern, Mass to Vt to NY and the Midwest. The New York Publick library has great upstate, western NY published records. Much record keeping was abandoned during the War of 1812-1813. good luck.
