G2G: Is Margaret (Harwood) Hawkins (abt.1612-abt.1649) PGM?

Her profile clearly needs work to meet PGM standards, but according to her husband's profile, they met aboard ship in 1634, then married and settled in Rhode Island. Does this qualify her for the PGM project?

She probably does qualify, but needs a lot of source work to prove it. I've added the PGM Candidate category, and welcome anyone to improve her profile.

Thanks, Bobbie! I'm just passing by her profile at the moment, but she's a great grandmother, so I'll work back around to her as soon as I can, if no one else does.

She and husband William are among my paternal 8ths... I'll see what I can do to update the profile.

Ashley, we seem to have quite a raft of forebears-in-common, including a Brainerd line that places us even a bit closer than the Hawkins ancestry.

Thanks, Christopher! You do great work, so I'm always glad to see you at it. And indeed we do have many common grandparents. It would probably be even more if my mom's more recent ancestors hadn't moved south in the 1800s. Those New England branches were getting quite tangled!

Thanks, Ashley.  I have now made some significant adjustments in Margaret's profile... and left a comment noting that she really has to be disconnected from the father shown, Thomas Harwood of Essex, as he is recorded about 150 miles distant from Stoke Gabriel in Devon – where Coldham places the origins of Margaret (Harwood) Hawkins.  I've also made some less obvious edits to Williams' profile, and in both cases have added links to previously unlinked source citations.

Thanks *very much* for your work on this one, Christopher. Barring any disagreements from the pm's, I've disconnected the father and added PGM as co-manager.

She looks much better now, Christopher. Thank you! And I agree with your assessment of her alleged father. I suppose it's possible, but from what little we know, he just doesn't make sense.
