This is a 1950 favorite photo of my mother, Clarice Marvin Lovelace, in a fashion show at the Youngblood Hotel in Enid,Oklahoma.

My mom was a fashion model also for all the downtown Cleveland's local BIG BOX stores such as  Higbees' ,  May Company AKA Dillards later and Halles Brothers stores from  1949 in senior high school until 1956.

Susan, thank you for your wonderful comment. This is a large photo that must have been done for advertisement. This is a photo that I wish was in color. She had red hair and bright blue eyes that made her stand out in a crowd. Today many people in the US color their hair red, but back in those days—it was unusual to see hair the color she had.

My Mom is modeling for some students at the Cleveland Karamu HouseTheater in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.  She is showing the students how to pose for a photo and about becoming a model.

Here is one of the last photos in 2019 before my friend Barbara Herschman died of cancer at the age of 67. We are on an Alaskan cruise. Here were at a French popup restaurant waiting for our dessert.

I've always loved this photo of some of the girls in our neighbourhood, back in 1966.  

Front to back, on Lucky the patient horse - Leonie, Melanie, Janice, Brenda, Heather.

Because I was visiting my aunt, I couldn't attend the last roundup when a photo of my father taking a bath as a baby was shown.

To make up for that here's a photo of said aunt and a cousin playing in a very similar, maybe even the same, tub.

  In the late 1950's my father told me that I had a step-sister, that I never did meet, from a previous marriage of his.  Recently, after all these years of wondering if I was able to identify a photo of her in my father's photo collection and with the help of Ancestry, I was able to do so.  Here is my favorite photo of this month, "Lucy" Hannah Lucy (Venables) Parker 1923-2009, in the late 1930's at Okanagan Centre, British Columbia, with Okanagan Lake in the background.......we share the same birthday on January 11th.

Thankyou Maria, I had mistakenly been looking for a photo of her prior to her teenage years and, although, for a long time, thought I had identified her mother, I wondered if this photo was her mother's sister.
