G2G: Name at birth + name current (same for male) results in incorrect display - is this intended/

You will need to edit all those allcaps last NAMES to make them Names so the system doesn't think they are different.

Reliable genealogy as a source is not acceptable.

The system sees all caps as a different name from mixed case

Summary/short version: the name fields are case-sensitive.

Please give us a example. What are you seeing as an incorrect display?

If you enter 1st name William Last name at birth Smith

You can enter a current last name, you don't need to add a current last name if it is the same.

To correct that you need to change the Last Name at Birth to the proper capitalisation.  Please don't use all CAPS for last names.

To change the Last Name at Birth edit the profile, and next to the Last Name at Birth field click the Change Last Name at Birth link. Enter the correct Last Name at Birth, add a reason, e.g. '''Correcting capitalisation''' and click Save.
