Hi Christine,
I found something!
Z047
ZORN Adam, parents: Paul and LOTTERHOF Rosalia
born 28 Oct 1887 in Gakovo
married 5 June 1906 (witnesses: BRANDT Martin and MELCHER Josef)
to KNIPF Anna, parents: Stefan and HETRICH Theresia
born 8 November 1883 in Gara, died (no date) in the camp in Gakovo
Godparents of their children: RIPP Josef, ROTH Anna Maria
children:
1. Josef, born 7 June 1906 in Gakovo, died 5 Sept 1909 in Gakovo
2. Josef, born 27 July 1910 in Gakovo, married 11 November 1929 in Gakovo to WEIGAND Christina
Adams father:
Z043 (Part II, 4123 in Part I)
ZORN Paul, parents: Paul and WEIGAND Klara
born 14 April 1853 in Gakovo
died 29 March 1934 in Gakovo
married 7 July 1884 in Gakovo (witnesses: HÖGER Adam and HÖGER Franz)
to LOTTERHOF Rosalia, parents: Michael and PRISLINGER, Barbara
born 19 March 1866 Gakovo
died 18 December 1933 Gakovo
They had 4 children and the book goes back 2 more generations in the ZORN family. It's a bit much to type it all down - is there any way to contact you by email, so I can send more information to you? Your name is unfortunately not linked to a Wikitree profile.
Unfortunately, there was no entry for a Stefan Knipf in the Gakovo books. The name only appears for three children of a Georg Knipf, two died (3rd and 5th child) and then they named their 10th child Stefan as well. However, that Stefan Knipf was born 12 August 1826, so he would have been in his late 50s when Anna was born. Not impossible, but rather unlikely, I thought... And I also didn't find anything for the surname HETRICH. But it stated that this Knipf family was from Tschatali/Csatalja, so I took a look into that book as well, and look what I found:
Different spellings for the family name: Knipf, Knipff, Knip, Kniph, Knipp
KNIPF Stefan
born 15 June 1858 in Gara
died 08 February 1924
parents: Martin u. THURI Anna
married 22 November 1880 to
HEDRICH Theresia
born 27 June 1859
died 09 September 1937
daughter of Mathias and BISCHOF Theresia
They had 4 children in Gara from 1881-89 (there are no names listed, but one of them must have been your great-grandmother Anna!)
and 1 other child in Ridjica in 1891 (source: Gatti/Peller: Gara, Nr. 2125)
I don't have the Gara book, but I'm sure someone on the DVHH mailing list can help you with that! I know from an excerpt that the names THURI and BISCHOF occur in there, so there might be something on the generation before those I listed.
Again, if you could provide any means to concat you, I can send you some more excerpts from the books.
