G2G: Is There Evidence for George Morton, b. ca. 1585, Who Came to Plymouth 1623, Having a Son, George, b. Plymouth 1624?

Question

Anderson shows George Morton, who came to New England aboard the Anne in 1623, as having 5 children:Nathaniel, Patience, John, Sarah and Ephraim. No mention of a son George. The old (1908) George Morton of Plymouth Colony and some of his descendants, by John Kermott Allen, doesn't mention any son George. I can find no evidence to support this extra son.

Is there any evidence for George Morton of the Anne having a son George?  If not, can we remove him?

In looking at the younger George’s profile there are no credible sources: an Ancestry Family tree and somebody’s gedcom.

The bio makes a note that he was living with William Bradford after the death of father. This is untrue. The 1627 cattle division lists Nathaniel Morton, John Morton , Ephraim Morton and Patience Morton, living with Bradford. Sibling Sarah was living with another family. If George were in Plymouth he would have been listed.

I’m keen to know the answer to this also as he appears in our family history but there is no record of him

Hannah Morton, birth 27 Nov 1666 at Plymouth, Plymouth, MA. Her father was George Morton and her mother was Joanna Morton.

Massachusetts, Town Clerk, Vital and Town Records, 1626- 2001.

That's George's great-granddaughter, Hannah (Morton) Dyer; her  father is grandson George Morton-1748, born Plymouth 1645.   He's the son of Ephraim Morton-648.

I saw a copy of a marriage certificate or something looks like it was written in dutch but his name there was spelled Joris Morthen. In Wikipedia, they do list George who came on the Ann as having a son George.

This same Wikipedia page also includes a note that there is no documentation to support a son George.
