This is a photo taken in 1922 of my father Clare Alexander Lovelace Jr. with his dog. I have several photos of him with his dog; however, this must have been a favorite of his parents, as they made one very much like it into a paperweight.  I still have the paperweight.

As always, I love your photos!!!  They look as if they were taken from the Time Life archives. I can't tell if he is on his bandwagon with his trumpet or just got done riding "shotgun" for the stagecoach. Either way, life looks simpler 101 years ago.

This is the only photo of Bobi, my grandparents pet in 1957, and the boy standing there is my father. His family had one dog after the other during his childhood and they were all called Bobi. 

When I was a child, we visited my grandparents on weekends and one day, they found me trying Bobi's food (the Bobi from the 80's). Good dog, he didn't bite me.

Left: Queenie remembering her youth. While her genealogy is unknown she is believed to have Shetland Sheepdog (Sheltie) and German Shepard Roots. 
 

Top Right: Queenie with her "pets" Carole, Eric Linden, and Diane.  She followed the popular traditional custom of dogs to have humans as pets. She took good care of her humans making sure they had ample playtime and went for regular walks. She "adopted" Eric Linden and his family after he was "orphaned" following the death of his previous canine companion Whitey.

This is Molly on Monday 10 Jul 2023 at age 14. She spent this, her last day, watching me sitting at the computer doing WikiTree things. We miss her terribly.

This portrait of Janet Marion McNab's pet dog was taken in England, on 16 Jan 1927, at the time my father was crossing the southern United States, by motorcycle, on his way to marry Janet, his first wife.  I have 15 other photos, including the pet dog being walked on an English street, posing with Janet and her newborn son, Raymond, and on the beach of Lake Okanogan with 1 1/2 year old Raymond, when they moved to British Columbia.

Taken in 1979, this photo is of our black lab, who we named "Fonzie", is with my brothers and myself. She was such a friendly, happy dog, and followed us kids everywhere.  She lived to be at least 12-years-old.

I just received a copy of this very sweet photo and had to share.  This is my maternal grandfather, William John McMurray.  About 10 years after this photo, he would come to adopt the nickname Jack, but I'm not sure what he was called as a child.  We also don't know the name of the dog, but they sure do make a cute pair.

Almost we had a family photo, I always insisted we include the family dog. My one aunt was not too pleased but I always won out because he was a member of the family.

Here is a picture of us grandgirls celebrating grandma's birthday it would have been taken in the early mid 70's. Left to Right. my sister Sheryl, Cousin Deb, Grandma Theresa Kerestesy, Cousin Caula, and me and my dog Tinta. (which means Black in Hungarian).
