An amazon gift card was given out as a Prize during a WikiTree event, the 2016 Source-a-Thon, as you can see here (after clicking through on the link). Perhaps that is what you are thinking of?

I am thinking, maybe some prize from a project way back when, like what we have for our many challenges; could that  be a possibility??
