G2G: My Surname is misspelled on my personal wiki profile. Just needs a capital. What can I do?

On my personal wiki profile its saying that  if I change my Last name it will reset my Wikitree.  I can leave it as it is.  I was just wondering what would happen if I do.

If I read the help section for changing a last name correctly, it should be easy if you are on the trusted list. See https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Correcting_a_Last_Name_at_Birth

Several of your ancestors have the same error, and could be corrected as well.

When I changed my last name from anonymous, it reset my confirmed date on my profile to the date of change. The created date still stayed the same. Also my contributions prior to that disappeared from view and my thank yous doubled.

that's true... because technically, changing the last name, is the same as creating a new profile and merging the old one into it (but it's all done at one time, under-the-hood). So the stats for the old profile, stay with the old profile.

You are correct, I will definitely go through and  correct the LNAB.  I should of explained this is my personal profile I am referring too. Oh there is alot of work that still needs to be done on several of my profiles.  I'm getting there!

Simply click the "Edit" tab on your profile, then next to the "Last Name At Birth", click the edit link... fill in the blanks and save.
