Very nice, Hugh! Its always nice to get a heads up about genealogical "breakthroughs" that will help other Wikitreers. Good work!

I myself am not a Barnes descendant at least as far as I know but I do qualify for DAR membership through another ancestor. Perhaps my sisters or our children will find this useful, certainly my Aunt Ruth enjoyed being a part of the group.

How can men be DAR? Doesn't gender disqualify them?

DAR members are women.  SAR members are men.  But DAR and SAR patriot ancestors can be male or female.
