(I'll probably come to regret that I ever embarked on this line of questioning.)
Researching the Eybächer family in (Stuttgart-)Wangen and in particular trying to connect Eybächer-15 to Eybächer-12, I found Jacob Sauer (Sauer-911), grandson of Eybächer-15 and through a long detour among the Palatine emigrants managed to loop back to Eybächer-12. (Or so I thought.) A couple of weak links at the beginning (a father-grandaughter relationship between Sauer-911 and Kime-34 (now renamed Sauer-2597) through Sauer-910) gave me pause, and I have been tugging at the scab ever since.
I do not really see how Sauer-911 could have fathered a child at the age of 18 some 50km (30 miles) from home, and re-used the first name six years later (in 1617) when his son Bernhard was born in Wangen.
But be that as it may, it did not get me any closer to Susanna Sauer, supposedly born in Speyer around 1645, married to Johann Keim (Keim-21) around 1670, mother of Johannes Keim (Keim-22), died in Speyer in 1675. I cannot find any references beyond the obvious inference that Johannes Keim must have had *A* mother.
What records there are of Speyer do not mention a Susanna Keim (or Sauer). There is no burial record for Susanna, no birth record, no marriage record, not even an indication that her last name really is Sauer. Her husband's profile contains references, but they do not seem to be widely available, and I cannot see where they mention Susanna's last name. All I (as an outsider) can believe is that Johann Keim emigrated to Pennsylvania with his German-born son Johannes, but probably without his wife.
Since both Johann and Johannes are listed as Palatine Migrants, there must be *SOME* records available for their life stories. Do they mention Johann's wife Sauer-2597? Does she show up on any tangible records? Is there anything to add to the conjecture on her profile page?
