Biography
Linda Faye (Holland) Wheatley was born Thursday March 24, 1949, the oldest of two daughters born to Jay Essell Holland, son of George Farris Holland and Minnie Eugene (Brasseale) Holland and Vivian Inez (Jones) Holland daughter of James Franklin "Jim" Jones and Brunnie Melissa Arnetta (Vales) Jones. Linda attended Cunningham School on 40th street and 7th Avenue North 1st - 8th grade same as her father, Jay Holland. After graduating 8th grade, she attended and graduated from Woodlawn High School. She then took computer classes at Continental Commercial College in Downtown Birmingham Al. It was then that she met and married John Fox Wheatley III. Her first job was in Data Processing at Birmingham Electric Battery in Birmingham Al. In Nov. of 1970 their first son was born. John's job took them to Dothan Al. for about 6 months and then to Montgomery Al. John and Linda had 2 more sons while living in Montgomery.

I have been researching my sir name line for a number of years using multiple websites, read several books by various authors regarding the Lacy/Lacey lines. You may already know that there were several Philemon Lacy/Lacey's of that time. Due to the lack of available records, it is next to impossible to determine if your William Elliot Lacy is in fact the son of Philemon Lacey. In fact, I'm not absolutely certain William M. Lacey is his son. It is all very frustrating to say the least. I started a Lacey/Lacy One-Name-Study awhile back if you are interested in joining in to help. I was able to get up the tree from myself to Philemon by way of old family Bible records and years of research.
I agree on your comments on Thomas Holland. If you want to initiate a merge I will definitely approve. Your information reflects some of the information that I have in my current tree and need to post here.
